Electric Transportation Design Challenge Toolkit

In The Future of Electric Transportation Design Challenge, we ask young people to find new and novel ways to increase use & access to electric vehicles and help Oregon reach its ambitious goal of cutting carbon emissions by 50% by 2030.

The EV Transportation toolkit is available for teachers to use, at no-cost, to run the complete design challenge in their classrooms.

Who Is This For?

This guide is intended for classroom teachers and other educators who are interested in running a design challenge with students. The guide is written with 8th-9th graders as a target grade level, however this curriculum could easily be adapted for both older and younger students, 5th-12th grade.

How To Use This Guide?

We recommend using this guide to run a complete design challenge. Although you might see ways to use bits and pieces of this curriculum independently, we believe there is a lot of value in completing a full design cycle with students.

Equity-Centered Design Challenge Toolkit

In The Future of Equitable Schools Design Challenge, we harness high school students’ passion for racial equity and social justice by asking them to create new and novel, high-impact design solutions that will improve and deepen the school experience for communities of color and/or other marginalized groups in schools.

Who is this for?

This guide is intended to support secondary school advisors as they run the equity-centered design challenge with their club or another dedicated group of students.  We believe that this challenge is most powerful when taken on by a student affinity group, but can be impactful in a diverse group of students as well.

How to Use this Guide

This guide is intended as a companion to the 10 hours of Construct Equity-Centered Design Advisor Training. If you have not taken the accompanying workshop but would like to, please contact us for information about our next cohort: info@constructlearns.org.
