In Spring 2022, participating Middle & High School Student Teams Will...

  • Develop ideas for a Cleaner, Greener,  Healthier Planet 

  • Compete in teams of up to four students for fun and prizes (up to $10,000 in cash prizes will be awarded!)

  • Learn the design process and gain entrepreneurial skills (we provide all instructional materials and guidelines)

  • Receive mentorship from Industry experts

Note: The KATU Innovation Challenge is a student-led activity - we have found that students are most successful when they have a coach to keep them on track with the deadlines and process. We provide all instructional videos, deadlines, instructions, and prompts to move your students through the KATU Innovation Challenge.

Any KATU Innovation Coach who teaches at a Title 1 school, and gets 5 student teams to submit concepts to the KATU Innovation Challenge in April, 2022 will be entered to win $500!
